We're seeking a Senior Accountant to join and contribute to our expanding accounting department. In this role, you'll report directly to the Controller, overseeing financial statement review, ensuring compliance, and fostering departmental growth and development.

What You Will Do
- Coordinate AP, journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist in the preparation of financial statements and other month-end close-related items.
- Support the daily processing of receipt batches in our agency management system.
- Ensure timely payments by monitoring the monthly disbursement checklist and updating it with new standing entries as required.
- Provide support to the Controller, including reviewing operating reports and maintaining the month-end close tracker.
- Generate electronic fund transfer requests for various financial transactions.
What You Will Bring
- 7+ years of staff accountant experience
- Team training and mentorship experience preferred
- Insurance experience preferred
- Bachelor's or master's degree with an accounting or finance focus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and their application in financial reporting
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- An advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel; ability to adapt to multiple accounting systems
